Harbour House
Extensive works carried out to an old engineering factory into a modern open plan working space.
Works consisted of a full asbestos removal and internal strip out. Replacement roof and external cladding. New 800 s/ft mezzanaine floor, Private fully glazed offices with large open plan working area. New Kitchen, Toilets and board room to the upper ground. A new food processing plant, storage area and training academy has been installed to the ground floor.
1 Town Quay
Nicolas James Building were appointed to internally design and refurbish Harbour House, Town Quay Southampton into 10,000 sq/ft of commercial office building.
Harbour House was the former Harbour Masters offices for the port of Southampton and is a landmark grade 2 listed building constructed in 1925.
Its previous use before our conversion / refurbishment has been a casino and a gentlemen’s club.
Sensitive consideration and restoration works were continuously monitored and evaluated throughout the process ensuring the project was delivered with all modern office requirements still keeping all the unique traditional elements of the buildings original fabric.
